Missing For Four Days, He Is Found In A Hole 3 Meters Deep

Phew of relief for the Pitchen of Pointe aux Piments. Jean Kevin Pitchen, 32 years old, was reported missing since Sunday, April 3 at about 1:30 pm. He was found Thursday afternoon, April 7, in a 3-meter deep hole in a wood at Mon Ile, Pointe aux Biches. His relatives are wondering what would have happened if there were heavy rains? The thirty-year-old, who suffers from epilepsy, was dehydrated.

He was rescued by a team from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Trou aux Biches. He was pulled out of the hole with the help of a tractor along with police officer Saint-Pierre. Kevin Pitchen was taken to the North Hospital for treatment before being placed under observation.

Since April 3, the police of Triolet, Trou aux Biches and elements of the CID were mobilized to find the missing man. The men of the Special Supporting Unit were also called in and the police helicopter also participated in the search. Search parties were organized in the vicinity of the government school, at the Ramdanee Morcellement, the coastal road of Pointe aux Biches, the public beach of Petite Pointe aux Piments, Trio Development Pointe aux Biches and in the woods of this area. Safe City camera footage was viewed in an effort to track Kevin Pitchen’s movements.

Based on certain information at around 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 7, a team from the Trou aux Biches CID, led by Sergeant Gowsee and composed of police officers Saint-Pierre, Huradon, Tegally and Oree, went to the woods at Mon Ile, Pointe aux Biches where Kevin Pitchen was found in this hole. His sister had reported him missing to the Triolet police station on Sunday evening, April 3.
