On December 6, Mauri-Facilities Management Co Ltd organized a ceremony in Ebene to honor the contribution of its employees as surface technicians in state schools over the past six years. The event was attended by Dr. Renganaden Padayachy, Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Mrs. Naila Hanoomanjee CEO of Landscope Mauritius among others.
The Mauri-Facilities team has gradually retooled itself to better serve schools by offering a number of innovative services and to meet the growing demand from this industry.
Mr. Vikram Patrou, the General Manager, and the President, Ms. Sarah Rawat Currimjee, in their respective speeches, both traced the company’s journey since its inception in 2018, when it focused primarily on schoolyard cleaning.
Over the years, not only have the surface technicians been confirmed as permanent employees in October 2019, but the company has also expanded its range of services, to position itself as a One Stop Shop for cleaning services, to disinfection in 2020, as well as nationwide cleaning campaigns.
Vikram Patrou continues: “The company has always attached great importance to the well-being of its employees, both by ensuring that they receive a full salary, even in times of pandemic, and by organizing medical examinations, among many other measures. In 2023, with the unfailing support of the government and the Minister of Finance, we even revised the basic salaries of Cleaning Technicians to take account of the expansion of our fields of activity.
