Jockey Cédric Ségeon was arrested on the morning of Monday, January 17 on a provisional charge of domestic violence. On the same day, he was brought before the Pamplemousses court before being released on a bail of Rs 5,000 and an acknowledgement of Rs 20,000. This was following a statement made by his wife on the evening of Saturday, January 15 at the police station in Trou aux Biches. Indeed, it seems that the jockey would have violated the provisional ‘protection order’ held by his wife by taking another woman under the same roof.
The jockey Cedric Ségeon and his wife live separately. On Saturday, January 15, around 7:30 pm, his wife, accompanied by her mother and a friend, returned to his house in Trou aux Biches. The jockey, who was in the company of another woman, forbade her access to the house. After a discussion, his wife, her mother and her friend were finally allowed to enter. During an argument, the jockey started to assault the three ladies.
His wife, who has a provisional protection order, had to go to the local police station to file a complaint. Cédric Ségeon was summoned to the police station of Trou aux Biches this Monday morning. He was arrested and taken to the court of Pamplemousses to answer a provisional charge of domestic violence. He was later released on bail.
