Israel’s Military Chief Says They Are Ready For Any Iranian Threat

As tensions rise following April 1 (Monday) attack on an Iranian consulate in Damascus, the Israeli military has stated that it is ready for any Iranian threat.

Seven Revolutionary Guard officers were reportedly killed in the incident, which Iran claims was carried out by Israel. As it gets ready to respond, an Iranian official declared on Sunday that Israel’s embassies were no longer safe.

The region’s US and Israeli soldiers are on high alert in case of an impending strike. Iran may respond in the next several days, according to reports in US media.

In a televised announcement, Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi remarked, “The IDF [Israel Defence Forces] can handle Iran. We can act forcefully against Iran in places near and far.”

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s senior advisor Yahya Rahim Safavi stated that Iran had a “legal and legitimate right” to react to Monday’s strike. He told Iran’s Isna news agency, “The embassies of the Zionist regime are no longer safe” He gave no more information about the nature of Iran’s response.

Israel’s preparation for a suspected Iran’s strike

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated in a statement that the defense establishment was ready to handle any situation that might arise. The IDF has called up reservists to provide air defense and suspended all leave for soldiers operating in combat units. In an effort to thwart missiles and drones, Israel has allegedly suppressed GPS signals throughout large portions of the nation. Several Israeli embassies were evacuated due to possible Iranian strikes, according to Israeli media outlets.
