The Ministry of Health and Welfare laboratories conducted 2,840 PCR tests on Friday, July 09, 2021. The results were obtained late in the evening:
- 1 case was detected on Day 3 in quarantine, this was a patient who had a negative PCR on admission.
- 2 cases were detected on Day 7 in quarantine. These were patients who were PCR negative on admission.
- 2 cases who had performed self-tests had positive results confirmed by PCR.
- 1 case was detected during a targeted screening exercise in Terre Rouge.
- 3 cases were detected in COVID-19 Testing Centres. These cases are under investigation.
- 9 cases have been detected because of ongoing Contact Tracing exercises.
1,493 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and as of yesterday afternoon, 1,133 of them, considered cured, have been able to return home.
To date, the country has 339 active cases of COVID-19.
