College Student Harassed For A Year

Must Read

Anaëlle, the fictitious name, 14 years old, is a traumatized teenager. This St. Croix resident and grade 9 student has been harassed for a year by four young people, including two brothers. They all live in the Residence La Cure. In the late afternoon of Wednesday, October 20, one of these youths attacked her on the calf with a club before taking one of her shoes. She had to enter the house without her left shoe.

She went to the Abercrombie police station on Wednesday evening, October 20, accompanied by her sister, to report the incident. The teenager told the story of her ordeal which has been going on for a year. She confided in the investigators of this police station that four youths, a 17-year-old student at MITD, her 14 year old brother, a student in a state college, a 16 year old and another teenager whose name she does not know, do not stop harassing her.

On the morning of Tuesday, October 12, more precisely at 7:00 a.m., she was at the bus station of Residence La Cure when this 14-year-old student armed with a shaving blade approached her before telling her, “to mem pou pass en premye la”. Scared, she left the place in a hurry. Every day the 16-year-old student keeps threatening her with assault if she doesn’t provide him with sweets, cakes and money.

This Wednesday, October 20, at 2:30 p.m., she was walking in one of the streets of Residence La Cure when the MITD student inflicted her with a violent blow on her left calf before fleeing. She ran away without being able to recover her shoe that this young person appropriated. The schoolgirl who is afraid for her life does not want to leave her home. Although she was not injured, she says she feels pain in her calf.

An investigation was initiated on this case.
