The public will again have the chance to enjoy the sound of the group Cassiya. Indeed, Gérard Louis, Alain Ramanisum, Alain Lafleur and Bruno François have chosen to resume the adventure for two concerts in Reunion Island. An album with new songs is also in preparation.
They did it in the past. And now, they are back on stage for their own pleasure, but also to reconnect with their fans: “Every time we meet, we often talk about the possibility of going back on stage to relive the sounds of the Cassiya group of yesteryear. That’s how Cassiya Roots was born, composed of Alain Ramanisum, Bruno Francois, Alain Lafleur and me. Désiré François did not want to be part of the adventure,” explains Gérard Louis – the group’s arranger at the time.
Two dates have been set: “We will give two concerts in Reunion Island on December 10 at the Teat Plein Air and December 13 at the Luc Donat Theater. Both concerts will be the participation of several guests such as Bruno Mooken, Laura Beg among others. The latter will cover the many hits of Cassiya.
Cassiya Roots is also working on an unreleased album: “The album will be released next year. It will be composed of unreleased songs,” says Gerard Louis.
Note that for the moment no date is planned for the Mauritian fans, “but it would not be long,” according to Gerard Louis.
