Another death among patients on dialysis. Sandhya Mungrah, a dialysis patient, aged 44 years, who tested positive for Covid-19 on June 7 breathed her last. She was admitted to Dr Cheong Hospital, Flacq, before being transferred to ENT Hospital after testing positive. The main cause of death has been attributed to a pathology other than COVID-19 according to the Ministry of Health.

The laboratories of the Ministry of Health and Welfare carried out 2,432 PCR tests yesterday, June 13, 2021. The last results were obtained late in the evening.
- 1 case was detected on Day 7 in quarantine (patient negative on admission)
- 1 case was detected following a routine test on a patient at Dr. BRUNO CHEONG Hospital.
- 11 cases were detected thanks to Contact Tracing. These people were already admitted to a quarantine center.
- 1 patient admitted to ENT hospital died this morning. The main cause of death has been attributed to a condition other than COVID-19.
1,061 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5, and as of yesterday afternoon, 666 of them considered to be cured have been able to return home.
The country has 378 active COVID-19 workers to date and as of this morning, only 54 of them were admitted to New ENT Hospital due to pre-existing comorbidities or mild symptoms requiring medical monitoring.
In addition, a disinfection exercise is being held in the premises of the Police Executive Service, on rue St-Georges, after the detection of a positive case.
Schedule changes in health centers in Flacq regions
On the other hand, some changes have been made in the hours of health centers in the Flacq region. This is according to a statement issued by the Dr Bruno Cheong Hospital. This follows the detection of several cases of contamination in this health facility.
So those who will require care are advised to go to other branches of health in the region of Flacq as stated below:
- The Area Health Center which will remain open until 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday
- The Flacq Area Health Center which will also be open until 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday
- The Community Health Center which will be open until 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday
- The Area Health Center and Community Health Center which will remain open until 12 noon on Saturdays
- The Area Health Center which will be open until 12 noon on Saturdays including that of the Flacq Area Health Center
- Mediclinics will continue their normal activities.
