A 38-year-old worker for the Ministry of Social Integration was taken into custody at the Rose-Hill police station late Wednesday afternoon, February 23, following an accident.

The motorcycle he was riding, a Suzuky Gixxer, ended up in a vacant lot after losing control of his two-wheeled vehicle. His wife, who was the rear seat passenger, was injured. She was admitted to the Victoria Hospital in Candos after being transported by an ambulance of the Emergency Medical Service (SAMU). As for the motorcyclist, he was submitted to an alcohol test, which was positive. He had 106 micrograms of alcohol in his breath.

This couple, living in Pinewood Residence, Wootun, made this accident at about 3:30 p.m., this Wednesday, February 23 on St. John Road, Four Corners near the cemetery.

After receiving treatment, the 31-year-old passenger was admitted to Covid ward, as she tested positive.

Work is underway for the Metro Express in this part of the road where this accident occurred. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the Rose Hill Police Station for a breathalyzer test by officers from the Emergency Response Service. After testing positive with 106 micrograms of alcohol in his breath, he was placed in a drunk tank.
