A Pilgrim Dies On Her Way To Grand-Bassin

Heeramatee Mooroolay, 57 years old, who lived ex Airport Road, Plaine-Magnien, who was walking to the lake of Grand-Bassin in the evening of Friday, February 17, died on the Bois Chéri road near the Avalon lodge. The fifty-year-old was found unconscious. She was taken to the Jawaharlall Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle where she was pronounced dead.

It is following a request that an ambulance of the Emergency Medical Service (Samu) was requested on the road to Bois Chéri. Heeramatee Mooroolay who was unconscious was taken to the hospital in Rose-Belle. The death of the fifty-year-old was unfortunately noted by the doctor of the service in the emergency room at about 23:55 on the evening of Friday, February 17.

The body of this inhabitant of Plaine-Magnien was then transported to the morgue of the Victoria Hospital in Candos for an autopsy. The autopsy, performed by Dr. Prem Chamane, Principal Police Medical Officer, attributed the death to left ventricular failure. The victim was a patient of the Rose-Belle Hospital.
