The Seychelles Biennale will be held from 31 July to 23 August in Mahé. The Mauritian delegation will be composed of Jean Yves L’Onflé , Pamela Sunee , Avilla Damar , James Castel , Krishna Luchoomun and Kavinash Thomoo.
Postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Seychelles Biennale will be held this year in July.
20 countries. 40 participants, including six Mauritians, have been selected to be part of this beautiful artistic adventure.
The organising committee has studied the artists’ backgrounds before validating their tickets for the Seychelles. Mauritius will be represented at this event by local artists such as: Krishna Luchoomun, Jean Yves L’Onflé, Kavinash Thomoo, Pamela Sunee, Avilla Damar and James Castel.
Like all the other exhibitors, our compatriots will present a work at this biennial.
On site, they will also participate in an art competition on the theme Lost and Found.
It should be noted that the Mauritian delegation will be heading for the Seychelles a few days before the Biennale.
