The interrogation of Vimen Sabapati is currently continuing at the CCID premises. This exercise is taking place as part of the investigation initiated following the release of several audio tapes attached to an affidavit sworn by Vimen Sabapati. Vimen Sabapati has confirmed having spoken with the protagonists whose voices are heard. They are police officers. Vimen Sabapati has so far identified several police officers. The former trainer of the national Muay-Thaï federation was questioned in the presence of his lawyer, Me Melany Nagen. During his interrogation, the main suspect identified the voice of the police officers heard on the audio tape. He also spoke of his political affiliations.
This police enquiry has been initiated by the Commissioner of police following the Vimen Leaks which are excerpts from recordings implicating members of the anti-drug police units and the Special Striking Team. Before releasing the excerpts, Vimen Sabapati filed his affidavit with the Supreme Court on May 26.
