Must Read

The Ministry of Health Seychelles recently announced that Seychelles is now open to visitors from all countries, including India and stated this is irrespective of COVID-19 vaccination status. As per the reports, Seychelles International Airport is also now open for all scheduled commercial flights, however, travellers would be required to show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure.

As reported earlier, Seychelles had opened to visitors irrespective of their vaccination status, provided they showed proof of a COVID-19 negative PCR test certificate that has been taken 72 hours prior to travel. However, at that time entry was restricted to visitors, who had been in India, Brazil, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan within the 14 days preceding arrival to Seychelles.

To visit this tourist destination, travellers would further require a valid Health Travel Authorization (HTA) for entry, which can be done via the online portal at https://seychelles.govtas.com/.

Reports have it that all seeking to visit Seychelles, would also need to purchase a valid travel health insurance, which covers minimum COVID-19 testing, quarantine, isolation, and clinical care. And those travellers fulfill these conditions, they will neither have to undergo quarantine, minimum stay, nor will they face any kind of restriction on movement upon entry into Seychelles.

However, all those visiting Seychelles will still be required to adhere to other public health measures, which have been put into place in view of the pandemic, such as wearing of face masks, maintaining social distancing, and sanitising hands. Visitors will also be required to ensure that accommodation bookings are made only at licensed establishments that have been certified by the Public Health Authority.
