Two juveniles are actively sought by police for having sex with a 14-year-old grade 9 student in 2021. One of these two suspects got the teenager three months pregnant. The Barkly Police Station has initiated an investigation into this case since Friday afternoon, February 18.
It was a policewoman assigned to the Brigade for the protection of the family who made this statement for the little schoolgirl. It is in the presence of the maternal grandmother that this complaint was recorded around 3 pm on Friday, February 18. The teenager related that she met a 24 year old man in 2021. They exchanged phone numbers and started communicating. At first, she said she refused the proposal to go out with this man.
However, on a day she does not remember, after receiving a phone call from the man at around 9 p.m., she agreed to meet him. The appointment had been given near the government school of Plaisance. This man had come to meet her on a motorcycle to take her to his house. It is in his bathroom, that they had sexual relations. The young man then gave her a contraceptive pill to prevent her from getting pregnant.
The following days, they had sexual intercourse and the young man used the same procedure. In October 2021, she had sex with the man, but he did not give her a birth control pill. They had an argument and since then she cut off all contact with the man. In November 2021 she took a pregnancy test which turned out to be positive, she says she told the man about it, but he rejected all responsibility in this matter.
It was only on February 16 that she decided to break the silence and confide in a relative. The teenager also had to tell this relative that just after her 14th birthday in February 2021, she had met a 22-year-old man who lives in Clover, Rose-Hill. One day, they went to a house in the Priest Valley area where they had sex for the first and last time.
The teenager expressed the wish to be examined by a forensic doctor, also confided to the police that she will be able to identify these two men.
