Rs 11 Million Of Heroin Found On A Wasteland At Cité La Cure

Unusual fact. A team of police officers from the Prosecution Office of the Northern Division conducted a raid this Monday morning, October 10, in Cité La Cure. They found a plastic bag containing 772. 11 grams of heroin. The market value of this drug is estimated at Rs 11 580 650. The drugs were transported to the headquarters of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) at the Central Barracks to be held as evidence. Samples will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis.

It is based on the precise information that this team of police officers from the Rivière du Rempart Prosecution Office, led by Inspector Faizal Mooniarut, went to Jhelum Street, Cité La Cure at around 11:05 a.m. This operation was mounted with the men of the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ashik Jagal from the Special Striking Team of the Police Headquarters.

At a specific location on a wasteland, a search was organized with Sergeant Mohit and Constables Ramachendren, Dhunputh, Babooa and Ramphul. Constable Ramachendren had to find a black plastic bag in which there was another white colored bag which in turn contained a transparent plastic with a 666 label. The drugs were wrapped in a grey paper.

A surveillance was subsequently mounted at this location, but no one came to retrieve this package. An investigation was initiated with the aim of tracing the author who concealed this package on this land.
