Resumption Of The Judicial Enquiry Into Soopramanien Kistnen’s Murder Case

Must Read

Thursday morning in the Moka District Court, ASP Seebaruth of MCIT revealed during the resumption of the judicial enquiry into Soopramanien Kistnen’s murder case that Yogida Sawmynaden, Deepak Bonomally and Vinay Appanah have refused to provide samples of their DNA. The police officer said that he had the mission to provide DNA samples of the potential suspects in the case.

He said that none of the samples collected matched those found on the side of a glove at the site where the body of the MSM chief agent was found in a cane field in Telfair.

Then he said that the three persons, that is Sawmynaden, Bonomally and Appanah, refused to give samples of their DNA.

ASP Seebaruth filed four reports from the Forensic Science Laboratory, including a bag, a belt and a mobile phone. He added that the mobile phone was sent to the FSL on 29 July 2020. It was then collected on October 18, 2020.

The DPP’s representative, Azam Neerooa asked why was the phone collected so late. ASP Seebaruth answered that he and his superior, Mr Jankee, had decided not to send the mobile phone to the FSL.

The police was not interested in finding out the truth says Rama Valayden

During lunchtime, Rama Valayden made a statement to the media to review what has happened at the judicial enquiry in the morning. He said that the police “are not interested in finding out the truth” in Kistnen’s murder case. Once again, he said that without the Avengers, all this would never have come to light.

Referring to what happened in court this morning, he said that “the investigation has been carried out in such a way that there will be no case“. He went on to appeal to Yogida Sawmynaden, Deepak Bonomally and Vinay Appanah to give DNA samples, especially since they have nothing to hide.

He added that with the way things were done, “the police is looking like a fool“. Yet, he stressed, these same police officers can, when necessary, do an excellent job.
