NCG Officer Arrested For Sex With Minor

Must Read

A 24-year-old National Coast Guard (NCG) officer, Yash Santuck, has been in trouble since Tuesday afternoon. This follows a statement made against him on December 28 by a 16-year-old girl. Student in grade 11, the latter denounced him for having had sexual relations with her. The policeman, who lives in the village of Goodlands, was arrested early in the morning of December 29 and was presented before the Court of Pamplemousses the same day on a provisional charge of ‘causing child to be sexually abused’. The police did not object to his release on bail.

A policewoman from the police station of Plaine des Papayes gave her statement in the presence of an officer from the Child Development Unit of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Welfare. The minor explained that in January 2021, she met this officer, who works at the NCG of Grand-Gaube. They began exchanging messages on Instagram. On several occasions, she says, her boyfriend picked her up from college after school so they could spend time together.

This Wednesday, October 15, 2021 after her school hours, that is, around 2:30 p.m., she had gotten into the police officer’s car to go to Morcellement VRS, Plaine des Papayes. He had stopped his car near a bus wash and they had sex in the car

On the other hand, in the early hours of this Wednesday morning, December 29, police officer Kris Sansurooah, 29 years old and assigned to the Tourism Police of the Metropolitan Police of the South Division, was arrested for domestic violence following a statement made by his wife, also a police officer and assigned to the Central Criminal Investigation Department.

The 28-year-old policewoman went to the Triolet police station to file a complaint against her husband. On the evening of Tuesday, December 28, they returned home with their daughter around 11:40 p.m. after attending a party. Her husband, she says, was drunk. At one point while she was feeding her daughter, an argument broke out between her husband and her. He grabbed her by the neck and violently pushed her against the wall of her room. The policewoman hit her head against the wall.

The policewoman said she tried in vain to bring her husband back to his senses but without success. He slapped her on the left cheek. Faced with this situation that was getting worse, the young woman then called her brother. His brother, sister and two cousins soon arrived. Meanwhile, Kris Sansurooah locked the main door. When she saw them, her husband had to hit her in the head while she held their daughter. Because her life was in danger, she says, her brother and cousin had to break the glass panel of a window so they could take the key to the door to open it. The officer immediately left her home and went to the police station.

Her brother and cousin sustained hand injuries while breaking this window panel. Kris Sansurooah was arrested when he showed up at the police station shortly after 2 a.m. As for the policewoman, she took up residence at her brother’s house in the village.
