Glamorous personality that we no longer introduce, Nalini Aubeeluck had a brain hemorrhage in March 2020. Plunged into a coma for 7 days, a year later, she is still recovering. This return to life, she attributes to her faith in God. On the strength of what she considers a miracle, she plans to become a pastor.
7 days in a coma. A surgical operation on her head. Unable to walk and talk. Nalini Aubeeluck has come a long way. Very far indeed. She is fully aware of it: “On March 20, 2020, I had a cerebral hemorrhage that put me in a coma for 7 days. I woke up on March 27, my birthday. I was as good as dead. I know I could have stayed there.
A Christian, Nalini has always been a very devout person. According to her, it was her faith that saved her: “I used to pray a lot, long before my health problems. In 2019, I even went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and that deepened my faith even more. For me, there is no doubt, it was my faith that saved me.”
Now, in gratitude to her divine Savior, she never separates from her Bible: “My Bible is my greatest comfort. It is always at hand.
Describing herself today as a completely different person, she wants to serve others more by preaching the word of God: “I am certainly not 100% recovered. My right side of my body is not yet fully mobile, but I want to be more spiritual as soon as I get better. I would like to serve by preaching. I would love to be a pastor.
