Against Curepipe Rangers, the girls of USBBRH easily disposed of Curepipe Rangers with a score of 24-14 and thus retain their crown with 12 points, four wins in as many outings.
Curepipe Rangers finished second with 9 points and boasted more goals than the champions, 153 to 131. Sheron Raboud Amoordon was voted the league’s top scorer with 39 goals.
Pamplemousses SC finished third with 6 points, Quartier Militaire Rising Star HBC with 6 points took fourth place with 3 points while US Trou aux Biches finished in fifth place with no wins to their credit.
In the men’s category, the battle for the title was intense until the final whistle between Curepipe Starlight SC and defending champion AS Vacoas-Phoenix. The Vacoasians won 22-20 to retain the title with 18 points, six wins and one loss in seven games.
Résidence Vallijee Lions Sporting Club and Curepipe Starlight SC finished second and third respectively with the same number of points, 16. USSBBH finished fourth with 15 points. USBBRH striker Loïc Valois was crowned the league’s top scorer with 76 goals scored.
