The 64-year-old woman, a resident of Quatre Bornes, died on Sunday night, 27th March. She was not vaccinated and suffered from several comorbidities. She was admitted following a rapid deterioration in her health after being tested positive.
Vaccination remains on the rise with 1,004,267 people receiving the first dose in Mauritius and 32,156 in Rodrigues. 969,512 Mauritians have received the second dose and 31,578 Rodriguans. For the third/booster dose, the figure in Mauritius is 586,445 and 12,092 in Rodrigues.
