Bangladeshi Worker Dies Buried At Beemanique

A day of mourning was declared this Monday 18 July at all sites of Beemanique Stone Crusher Ltd in honor of the Bangladeshi worker, Jakir Hossain, 35 years old, who died on Saturday evening 16 July. He was buried in a muddy pond when the excavator he was operating sank in a muddy pond at the Beemanique Crusher in New France. It was not until the morning of Sunday 17 July that the man’s body was found. The autopsy performed attributed his death to asphyxiation due to the aspiration of the rock powder.

The victim, who worked for the company for years, was an exemplary employee. A day of mourning has been declared throughout the company to allow all employees to pay their last respects to Jakir Hossain. The company, which is handling the repatriation of the body, has taken over the organization of the funeral rites. In addition to an internal investigation, Beemanique Stone Crusher Ltd says it is collaborating with the relevant authorities on this accident.
