Sao Tome and Principe has won its appeal before the Disciplinary Committee of the supreme body of African soccer. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reversed its decision following the appeal lodged by Sao Tome and that Mauritius will finally not participate in the AFCON 2023. Thus, Mauritius will not play the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON). The coach of the Club M, Tony Francois, announced the news to the players at the end of the session on Tuesday at Trianon. The Mauritian soccer team was on the lawn of the MFA for training in preparation for its participation in the Africa Cup of Nations 2023, learned the decision of the Confederation of African Football.
