Announcement by Kailesh Jagutpal in a press conference this morning. The Health Minister acknowledged that the number of deaths has increased this week compared to last week, with 85 deaths attributed to Covid-19. “We are still in the critical phase,” he said.
Kailesh Jagutpal said 20 of the deceased were under 60 years old and 60 were over 60. 16 of them had no comorbidities and 36 were vaccinated.
The Minister of Health also revealed that in one week 10,209 PCR tests were performed. Of these, 1,277 were positive. This figure includes 22 imported cases.
Kailesh Jagutpal reported that there are 1,476 active cases currently. 49 patients are admitted to the ENT hospital. 9 are on artificial respirators.
28 people are on oxygen and 12 are under observation. 1503 patients are admitted in the various regional hospitals.
