Must Read

Phoenix Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances under which a 43-year-old woman was severely burned during the day on Thursday, November 11. The Phoenix resident was admitted to the Burns’ Unit at Victoria Hospital in Candos. She suffered third degree burns.

Following a message received from the Victoria Hospital Police Post, a police officer from the Phoenix Police Station went to the woman’s bedside around 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 11. With the permission of the nurse in charge of the Female Burns’ Unit, the officer was allowed to see the patient from a distance to comply with Covid-19 health protocol. Although this lady was conscious, she was not able to give statements to explain the circumstances under which she burned herself.

The nurse in charge of this room confided to this policeman that the forty-year-old was burned in the third degree. The police on Thursday afternoon could not go to her home to examine the exact place where she was burned, because there was no one at home.

Her health condition is considered to be very worrying.
