Virus Records: The Studio That Makes The Country Dance

Must Read

The name may not ring a bell. But you’re probably familiar with it, especially if you’re into the music of the moment.  How about a hint from Virus Records? Meet Fabrice Labonne – the man behind the studio that’s got the country dancing from 666 Armada to Joker Kartel.

Fabrice Labonne has made music his profession. However, when he started out, there was nothing to suggest that he would make a living out of it: “I began editing instrumentals at the age of 15. Back then, it was on my PlayStation console. Then I bought a computer to perfect my skills. But in the beginning, it was just a passion. I didn’t think I’d ever make a living from it.”

Fabrice Labonne has worked with some of the biggest names in local music.

In 2017, the artist tasted his first hit: “It was recording the track Pie dan lo the duet between Natty Gong and Manna C that my studio became known. Following the success of this track, I was lucky enough to work with several local artists who have distilled and are still distilling hits. It’s always a pleasure to know that so many hits are coming out of my studio at Tranquebar.”

Although getting behind a microphone is far from his priority, Fabrice is working on several recording projects: “I used to sing. I even have an album to my credit. But I realized it wasn’t for me. As for me, I’m going to continue recording tracks for those who call on my expertise. For example, the group 666 Armada has already recorded tracks in my studio that are sure to be even more popular,” Fabrice points out.
