No Vaccination Card: Chief Commissioner Serge Clair Denied Access

Must Read

The Chief Commissioner of Rodrigues was invited to make a speech at a ceremony at Rodrigues College Port-Mathurin on Wednesday, September 16. As he did not have his vaccination card with him, the security services refused him access.

He was supposed to give a speech at a ceremony entitled “racont nou la vie longtemp”.

So, we understand why Rodrigues is still Covid Free. This is not the place to deny a dignitary access to the entrance of a school.  The law stipulates that it is mandatory to present a vaccination card or a PCR test that is no more than 7 days old in order to have access to a school or health institution. Serge Clair, who is vaccinated, was not in possession of his vaccination card.

It should be noted that Chief Commissioner Serge Clair was present for this eleventh session of the Regional Assembly on Wednesday, September 14. Serge Clair, who looked good, attended only the first part of the session and left the hemicycle before the lunch break.

The next meeting was set for October 26 at 10:30 a.m. and no one knows if the Assembly will be dissolved before that date.
