Our compatriot Shiksha Matabadul is currently the talk of the town. And for good reason: the Miss Mauritius International 2014, plays the lead role in Bijlee – the latest music video from star Meshi Sandhu. The England-based Mauritian will also star in Jazzy B’s next video – another big name in Indian music.

Shiksha Matabadul is doing the country proud. The young woman is currently breaking through the screens with appearances in clips by Indian music stars.
Originally from Flacq, Shiksha is happy to see her efforts finally rewarded: “I’m an actress. I’ve been lucky enough to star in several films, and I also do some modeling. I’ve been dreaming of making a living from this passion for years. But it’s extremely difficult to get roles in this business. I’m not going to hide it, there’s a certain sectarianism. The only way to make a difference is to work harder than the other candidates. That’s how I got the part in Meshi Sandhu’s video,” explains Shiksha, who also works as a nurse.
Expected very soon, Dil Mudia Na – Jazzy B’s video clip – will also feature the Mauritian: “I still can’t believe I played the lead role in the video of Jazzy B – who is a world-famous Indian star. It’s both a source of pride for me and for my country – Mauritius.”
