Mont Choisy Golf Residences Ltd, a subsidiary of Mont Choisy Smart City Ltd, is proposing to embark on a major residential project on its land stretching from Mont Choisy to Grand Bay. It has indicated its intention to develop 5 hectares of land.
These parcels of land will be divided into 82 plots which will be made available to Mauritian and foreign residents with work permits wishing to build individual houses.
Green and recreational areas will be developed in the area for the benefit of residents and their children.
Residents will be able to enjoy the green spaces to relax while their children play games and have fun. According to the developer, this project is in line with the government’s policy to provide a roof over the heads of Mauritians.
The National Development Strategy (NDS), the developer points out, recognizes that the demand for housing units for the period from 2000 to 2020 was 140,000. It was also projected that 50% of the demand would come from coastal areas. The developer believes that such a development will have a positive impact on the standard of living and quality of life of residents in this part of the island.
