Darren The Activist Back In Court On Monday

He was released on parole last Saturday in Bail and Remand Court. Darren the Activist will be back in court this Monday to fulfill the terms of his bail. He will have to pay the Rs 15,000 of his bail and also sign an IOU of Rs 100,000.

Darren the Activist, also known as Dominique Seedeeal, 31 years old is being prosecuted under a provisional charge of sedition under the criminal code of 2018, in violation of sections 206 (1) (a) (i), (3) (b) (ii) and 283 (1) (a), of the criminal code.

While awaiting trial, he will have to report daily to the Grand Bay police station between 06:00 and 18:00 and also observe a curfew between 21:00 and 05:00.

The court also asked him not to use his Radio Mo Pep Facebook page to broadcast messages to incite a demonstration. He was also warned not to participate in any type of demonstration, directly or indirectly, unless he gets approval from the police.
