Commemoration: A Thought For The Victims Of Accidents This Sunday November 21

Must Read

The World Day of Remembrance for victims of road accidents will be celebrated on November 21 at 10 am. The Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Road Transport will proceed to a wreath laying in front of the stele erected in Sorèze in memory of the victims of the accident involving a CNT bus in 2013.

This Memorial Day is held every year on the third Sunday of November. It is a solemn occasion to think about those who have disappeared, or are irreversibly affected by the trauma of the road. Above all, it is a time to reconnect with road safety. This year the authorities have chosen to place the event under a theme (Act for low speeds / Act for low speed streets) and a motto (Remember. Support. Act)

On Sunday, November 21, the Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Road Transport will lay a wreath in front of the stele in Sorèze. Prayers from different religious currents of the country will be said in tribute to the victims of road accidents. This ceremony will be the prelude to a vast awareness campaign that will begin shortly.

The SARAH Association which supports victims of road accidents will also participate in the event. For Marianne Sarah Vieillesse – the president – this day: “is a reminder that there is life after death because although those who have left us are no longer here, their memories continue to nourish our daily lives.

The association is currently working on several projects, including an awareness-raising testimony in partnership with Wordnative Ltd. The video will be broadcast as part of the day of remembrance for victims of accidents.
