Resolutely turned towards social issues, Brian Ng Fuk Chong gives of his time and his person to help others. Elected as the top candidate in the 2020 village elections, the screen printer has several projects.
In Baie-du-Tombeau, everyone knows him. If it’s not for the quality of his t-shirts, it’s for his dedication to the most disadvantaged in his village and neighboring villages: “I’ve been doing social work since I was 15 years old. Today, at the age of 30, I continue to provide assistance in terms of food packs and school supplies to the most vulnerable in Baie-du-Tombeau, but also in the neighboring villages,” explains the youngest village councilor in the country.
Also sitting on the Pamplemousses district council, the young man plans to carry out other projects: “My goal is to alleviate the suffering of others. My goal is to alleviate the suffering of others. I want to make sure that as many people as possible get enough to eat every day. I will take advantage of the Catholic Lenten season to launch this project, which will then be extended over time.
Not hiding his political ambitions Brian, wants to be in parliament one day. “I am very interested in politics and I am aware that it is the only way for me to help even more people.”
