1st Anniversary Of The Death Of Soopramanien Kistnen: Absence Of Bruneau Laurette

Must Read

Bruneau Laurette disassociates himself from all the protests and marches that will take place around the commemoration of Soopramanien Kistnen. He will do his own tribute, as well as the support he will give to the Kistnen family. Why? Nando Bodha’s presence on the frontlines!

Linion Sitwayin does not want to be associated or assimilated with the leader of the Rassemblement Mauricien. Neither Bruneau Laurette nor any other member of will show up on October 14, 15 and 16, 2021 to denounce “cases of injustice” alongside the Avengers in homage to Soopramanien Kistnen, former MSM agent, who died on October 16, 2020. “Our disagreement with Nando Bodha is simple. He was in the MSM at the time and he neither publicly protested nor resigned, not even on humanitarian grounds. We consider that he had no regard for Soopramanien Kistnen or the Avengers’ fight for justice. He has only recently become interested, for what reasons we cannot determine,” explains Bruneau Laurette. He does not disagree with the Avengers or the other political parties that have joined the cause in the meantime.

Soopramanien Kistnen

It should be noted that at the time Bruneau Laurette and Linion Sitwayin were very active as a Citizen’s Movement and not a political party. Bruneau Laurette admits that his position is more personal than political, “I have helped Soopramanien Kistnen in this fight since he started it and I have provided him with several documents to support his points. Unfortunately, Soopramanien Kistnen lost his life in his struggle. Linion Sitwayin’s solidarity is towards him and his family. Our support is for his family only and we do not want to play any political games. This political hypocrisy and the presence of some tarnish the memory of Soopramanien Kistnen. The politicisation of this commemoration goes against our principles”, says Bruneau Laurette.

Linion Sitwayin will visit Mrs Kistnen on Wednesday 13 October at her home in Montagne Ory in Moka. This new political party promises its unwavering support to the Kistnen family in this struggle, but without politicising this “human approach to justice”.
