Sixty-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Hit By A Bull

Alexandre Figaro, 63 years old, also known as Jean Claude living in VRS, Plein Bois did not survive the blows he received from a bull in a farm in La Bonne Source, Plein Bois on the morning of Tuesday, October 25. The victim had been working on the animal farm for only three months. Admitted to the intensive care unit of the Jawaharlall Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle, Alexandre Figaro breathed his last at one o’clock in the morning on November 1st. The autopsy attributed his death to sepsis following injuries to the chest and abdomen.

An investigation was initiated at the level of the police station of L’Escalier to shed light on the circumstances of this tragedy. It was around 9:50 am on Tuesday, October 25 that a team of police officers led by Sergeant Runglall went to this animal farm in La Bonne Source, Plein Bois following a request. The owner of this farm, 33 years old and living in La Sourdine, L’Escalier, told police that he saw the victim sitting in front of his farm with injuries to his forehead and various parts of his body.

Alexandre Figaro was rushed to the Rose-Belle Hospital in an ambulance from the Emergency Medical Service. After receiving treatment, he was admitted to the ward. He was later transferred to the intensive care unit. Investigators found traces of blood on the bull that attacked him.

Alexandre Figaro’s funeral took place this Wednesday, November 2 at 3:00 pm. The funeral ceremony took place at the Church of Saint Francis Xavier in L’Escalier and he was buried at La Sourdine Cemetery in L’Escalier.
