A police raid carried out by elements of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) of the Western Division with the assistance of the ADSU of Plaine-Verte and the commandos of the National Coast Guard (NCG) allowed the arrest of six people along Batterie-Cassée Street, Karo Kaliptis, Roche-Bois, on Tuesday morning, November 16. Five of these suspects were apprehended and are facing one charge of drug trafficking and another charge of rebellion. This police operation resulted in the seizure of a quantity of heroin and synthetic drugs.
It was around 7:30 a.m. this Tuesday, November 16, that these police officers from the Rose-Hill ADSU led by Chief Inspector Ashik Jagai, Inspector Doobaree and Inspector Jean from the Plaine-Verte ADSU and the NCG commandos landed in Karo Kaliptis, Roche-Bois.
The following suspects were arrested. Jean Serge Alleemudder, alias Tibout short, 52 years old and a resident of St. Croix, was arrested in possession of one hundred and ninety-eight doses of heroin and the sum of Rs 600 suspected to come from the sale of this drug. Jean Eric Banche, 35 years old and living on Macadam Street, Baie du Tombeau, was found in possession of 111 doses of synthetic drugs. Curtis Clarel Ciceron, a 35-year-old bricklayer from Cité EDC, Pamplemousses was found with fifty-three doses of synthetic drugs while Ludovic L’Eveillé, a 25-year-old homeless man, was found with thirty doses of synthetic drugs and Joseph Fils Christian Collet, 42 years old and living in Briquetterie, Sainte-Croix with eight doses of synthetic drugs.
Jean Johnley Botte-Soie, 26 years old and living in St. Malo, Baie du Tombeau was arrested on a provisional charge of rebellion because he opposed the Adsu police officers during these arrests.
Serge Alleemudder is known in the ADSU community as he has already been arrested twice on a provisional charge of drug trafficking. He is currently on parole.
