Horse racing – 6th meeting : The Simon Jone’s trained horse Bold Phoenix is tipped to strike a three in a row. He will have his first run this season and the draw 2 in the gates has motivated the punters as his odds are up from 230 (for a bet of Rs 100) to 190.
This is also the case for G I Joe in race 7 (from 210 to 190). He won so easily on his first outing that punters are confident despite the fact that he will be facing a tougher opposition.
The biggest betting drift is for Affranchi whose odds rises 2500 to 2000 in race 3. The motivation might be that he is going down in class and apprentice Alvino Roy will claim 3 kg resulting in Affranchi carrying 58 kg instead of 61 kg.
Some bets have been placed on Zodiac Jack (from 1000 to 850) in Race 1 where Red Force One stays a strong favourite at 180.
Many fluctuations have been noted in race 5 with Syds Liason (from 600 to 530), Trip To The Sky (from 400 to 3500 and Giggin from (1200 to 900) being backed. And the prices of: Cyber Special (from 470 to 500), Drop Kick (from 270 to 300) and Jet Stream from (550 to 600) going down. It will be a tricky race.
And the hottest favourite of the day is Dynamite Jack (from 175 to 1750 in race 6.
