Shortly after its own launch, the Rassemblement Mauricien is putting forward its youth team, a wing that promises from the outset to put forward the new ideas that appeal to the younger and future generation. The reason for the launch of this symbol of the future is on the sidelines of the start of the great debate on the future of the planet, COP 26 summit, currently being held in Glasgow, Scotland.
Nando Bodha will train these young people to understand better the politics of the past and present so as to better arm their future political propositions. On the front row are Yashval Burtun, Chandini Sew, Dousheena Moojee and Samuel Soulange. These four committed young people are “the future of our human capital, the only resources we have. With it, intelligence, innovation, the attraction of technology but also ideals, the Ideal of a better world, the Ideal of a planet where it is good to live, the Ideal of a country where there is a youth that has confidence in itself, a youth that has confidence in the future of its country,” said the opposition MP and former Minister of Foreign Affairs at the launch last Friday.
The project of these young people will revolve around the themes of meritocracy, democracy and integrity where they will be involved for the interest of the future generation. At the centre of their missions will also be the issues of employment, new technologies, artificial intelligence and robotics, real politics, activism and especially the fight against drugs.
Of course, the constant struggles such as the better management of the Covid and the environment/the fate of the planet will take an important place in their respective agendas, especially as the RM leader has recently embarked on the development of a Petrolium Bill. On the other hand, the RM has a major plan to raise the voting age to 16 years old. This project is under discussion with the other political party leaders.
