From October 23, regional flights from the Indian Ocean islands of Mauritius and Reunion, through Air Mauritius and Air Austral respectively, are authorized. Long-haul flights from Europe are scheduled from November 6. Apart from medical evacuations, the arrival of private jets or special flights must be validated by the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic.

Madagascar will be launching also its vaccination campaign with Sinopharm after 90, 000 doses of Jansen had been initially used. Some 700, 000 of Sinopharm is expected to be used.
