Health Restrictions: Places Of Worship Will Be Able To Accommodate A Maximum Of 50 People

Must Read

A relaxation of health restrictions was expected from 1 April. It was not the case. Zouberr Joomaye, health advisor, who was alongside the Minister of Health at a press conference, said that the High-Level Committee has decided that “it is still too early to lower our guard and reduce our vigilance”.

Thus, the wearing of masks is maintained. Zouberr Joomaye explained that winter is coming and the government does not want to act irresponsibly.

In addition to the wearing of masks, the barrier measures are also maintained, i.e. social distancing and maximum ventilation of rooms.

One new feature is that places of worship will be able to accommodate up to 50 people as well.

In fact, the new measures show a harmonisation of the maximum number of people allowed at gatherings. This is increased to 50. This applies to public and private gatherings, weddings and funerals, and even sports complexes and gymnasiums.

Another new feature is that civil marriages will be able to be performed outside the registry offices. The officers of this department will be able to go outside.

The third new feature is that kindergartens will be reopened.

Otherwise, horse races will continue to be held in camera with a maximum of 150 employees. The beaches will remain open, but picnics will not be allowed. Bars, discos, concerts, community centres, Village Hall and the CAB office will remain closed. Reception halls will also remain closed, except for weddings where a maximum of 50 people will be allowed.
