Gregory Gaultier, former world number 1 in Squash (2014-2015-2017-2018) will be in Mauritius for the RMCLUB SQUASH OPEN 2021 which will be held from October 13 to 23 with the participation of some of the best French, Reunionese, Malagasy and Mauritian rackets.
RMCLUB, the reference in terms of multisport complex in Mauritius, gives appointment to squash fans for the RMCLUB MAURITIUS SQUASH OPEN 2021 with the presence of Gregory Gaultier, former World Champion of squash who will travel exclusively for this tournament. The Open will be held from October 13 to 23, 2021 in the RMCLUB complex located in Forbach.
Gregory Gaultier, 38 years old, has been in the top 3 in the world for several years, and won the World Squash Champion title in 2015. In 2009, he was the second Frenchman to become world number one. During his career, he has won many PSA World Tour tournaments, such as the prestigious British Open in 2007, 2014 and 2017. Multiple French champion, he also won twelve European championship titles in individual and team. Gregory GAULTIER will offer private and group lessons and workshops to squash lovers, including advice to young Mauritian players throughout the week.

Having him on court to help referee the championship matches and attend the Open will only be good for the local squash. The RMCLUB MAURITIUS SQUASH OPEN 2021 will definitely be the event of the year for squash enthusiasts with the participation of world class international players. After the organization of the 1st Mauritian Elite Squash Championship, some beautiful French, Reunion and Malagasy racquets have already announced their participation in this high level tournament alongside Mauritian players.
The players will have the chance to play under the watchful eye of this great champion. Gregory will also supervise during the competition the Mauritian referees who had for some started in 2019 the referee training in collaboration with the French Federation of Squash.
