Must Read

On Friday 15th of October, the Medine Volunteers and several others joined forces to participate in a cleaning operation of “La Promenade de Medine” located in Bambous. This park which was inaugurated in February 2010 for the benefit of the Bambous community, was designed over an area of 10 hectares. On which is found a fitness trail, a picnic and barbecue area, a prayer corner for the various festivals and a children’s play area. Appreciated for its tranquility and its particular charm, La Promenade de Medine also serves as a place of relaxation for the Bambous community and those of neighboring regions.

Through this clean-up operation of La Promenade de Medine, the Medine Horizons Foundation wanted to restore this space for the community. So FMH called on various volunteers from civil society, authorities and NGOs, as part of an inclusive and participatory approach. They responded positively to the call of FMH to give the premises a facelift. On the cleaning agenda, there were the garbage collection and the entire cleaning of the park as well as the Dragon River. But still, there was the realization of murals and the planting of several plants. This was a great opportunity for the volunteers to actively participate in preserving the environment but also to raise awareness among local residents. Through this initiative which brought together more than fifty volunteers, the Medine Horizons Foundation (FMH) pursues its actions for the good of the environment and that of the community of the West as well as the regions in the catchment area of the Medine group.
