(Stage 1) : Julien Chane-Foc, from the Club Cycliste Sainte Louisienne, Reunion Island, took the yellow jersey of leader of the Tour of Mauritius 2021 after the first stage (Transmetal Classic) which took place this Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
At the end of the 127,2 km Julien Chan-Foc has beaten in the sprint the Mauritians Alexandre Mayer (Team MCB) and Christopher Lagane (Team MCB). The latter wears the polka dot jersey while Alexandre Mayer wore the green jersey.
The second stage (Grand Prix Inicia) takes place this Wednesday, November 3rd. The start of this 93,5 km long stage will be given in Wooton at 10:50 am. The peloton will head to the east of the island before returning to the finish line at the Côte d’Or multisport complex at around 1:20 pm.
