The Ministry of Health has registered 30 new cases in the last 24 hours as well as 1 admission and 2 discharges from the regional hospitals. At the New ENT Hospital in Vacoas, there were 2 new admissions, 2 discharges, and the deaths of 2 Covid-19 positive patients between Monday 3 December and Tuesday 4 December. The patients were aged 61 and 90 years and resided at Bambous and Sainte Croix respectively.
The Ministry has counted 23,704 positive cases since 5 March 2021, of which 20,050 patients have been cured.
The vaccination campaign resumed on Tuesday 04 January 2022 under a protocol of alphabetical order. 15 vaccination centres as well as 5 regional hospitals are opened for this purpose from 9 am to 3 pm from Monday to Saturday. For this Tuesday, the Ministry has registered 950,614 people for the first dose, 913,886 for the second dose, and 185,798 for the booster dose, the rate of which will be boosted following the change in vaccination status from 15 January.
