Guinness World Records: Mauritian Adil Abdool Achieves 7415 Burpees In 12 hours

Must Read

The Mauritian Mohammad Adil Abdool – 30 years old – is now listed in the Guinness World Records. On 31 July, he achieved 7,415 burpees in 12 hours. Residing in Kenya, he thus erased the previous record of the American Michael Aliotti, who had done 7,295 in 2018.

The burpee is a weight training exercise that involves all the muscles of the body. Requiring strength and endurance, it is known to be very difficult to perform.

This is precisely why Adil Abdool tackled this record: “It’s a tough discipline in the fitness world. The burpee is scary and as I want to be the strongest man in the world, breaking this record was a must. To achieve this, I trained intensively for two months for three to five hours a day,” explains this health coach, better known as Mr Shredded on social networks.

The record holder also wants to achieve another feat, but this time on Mauritian soil: “I have been living in Nairobi for a long time, but I was born in Mauritius where I lived in both Vacoas and Phoenix. Next year I will be coming to the country, to achieve another feat. That is, to pull a car over a long distance. I’ll start with a car, then it will be a 4×4, if towing a car turns out to be too easy for me.

However, there was no indication that Adil would ever reveal so many challenges: “I was born with a severe lung infection. I was born with a severe lung infection. For most of my life, I have suffered from chronic asthma. But I fought to achieve my dreams.
