Alan Ganoo: Pravind Jugnauth Knows He Can Win The Next General Elections

Must Read

The Minister of Foreign Affairs held a press conference this morning to talk about Afghanistan and other issues related to his responsibilities. But Alan Ganoo was questioned by journalists mainly on the conversation between Pravind Jugnauth and Navin Ramgoolam last Sunday at the ceremony on the occasion of the National Day of India.

Ganoo explained that it was simply a conversation between two civilised persons. “I don’t put any value or political connotation on this conversation,” he said.  He also pointed out that Navin Ramgoolam was the only member of the opposition present at the ceremony.

Alan Ganoo also added that “it is to the credit of the Prime Minister to have left his ministers” to go and talk to Navin Ramgoolam, a former head of government and was alone at that time.

Alan Ganoo also insisted that he is not worried about Pravind Jugnauth dumping his current allies to forge a new alliance. “With the decisions that are being made and the way Pravind Jugnauth is running the government, he has no need for a new alliance, especially in the face of a clueless, disunited and groggy opposition,” he added.

For Alan Ganoo, deep down, Pravind Jugnauth knows he can win the next election and remain Prime Minister with the current team.
