A succession of sometimes funny and sometimes poignant scenes. This is what the play ‘Ce soir on improvise’ is. Two performances will be held respectively on March 28 and 29 at the Caudan Art Centre at 7:30 pm. Directed by Marie-Ange Koenig, the play is performed by the students of her theater workshop.
A play within a play. Here is a rather simplistic definition of ‘Tonight we improvise’. But when you look at it more closely, it’s a bit more complex than it sounds: “It’s not really a play, but a succession of scenes that follow a common thread. The play starts in the wings before being played out on stage. Two of the scenes were written by one of the actors,” explains Marie-Ange Koenig, the director.
Another similar project will take place in July of this year: “We will do it again in July with another play, with new actors while keeping the same concept.
