A 23-year-old Bangladeshi national is being actively sought by the St-Pierre police for a theft case. He was reported by his employer, a snack bar owner in St-Pierre, as the person who stole Rs 450,000 from him. The money was intended for the purchase of food products and to pay suppliers.
The 29-year-old snack bar owner, who lives in Circonstance, St. Pierre, gave this statement late in the evening of Wednesday 8 September. In his complaint, he explains that the theft was committed between 2pm on Sunday, September 5 and 1pm on Wednesday, September 8. The sum of Rs 450,000 was in a drawer of his snack bar. He said he suspects one of his employees, a Bangladeshi national who works as a helper, of being the perpetrator of this theft.
The snack bar owner also reported the disappearance of this employee shortly after midnight on Thursday 9 September. The Bangladeshi, he claimed, has been missing from his dormitory in Circonstance, St. Pierre since 10:30 pm on Sunday, September 5.
A message and photo of the missing man has been sent to all police stations in the country regarding the case.
