Allow parents and their children to discover the school’s facilities, as well as its fun and educational activities! Savannah International School, the very first private preschool and elementary school in Gros-Bois, is organizing an open house on Saturday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to noon. Successfully launched in January 2022, this international school will begin its second year of operation next January, with only about 10 spots available for the start of the 2023 school year.
“After a successful opening of Savannah International School last January, we are eager to now begin enrollment for the next school year for preschool and elementary students. The quality of education we offer will eventually allow students to access the Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and the International Baccalaureate, both of which are recognized worldwide, thus opening the doors to any international university,” said Tamrin de Robillard, Director of the school.
Savannah International School is the first private international preschool and elementary school on the South Island. Located in the heart of Savannah’s Connected Countryside, ENL Property’s uniquely designed and integrated smart village, it allows residents of the south-central part of the island to reduce the time it takes for their children to get to school. With its direct connection to the M1 highway, Savannah International School is less than 10 minutes from Rose Belle, 15 minutes from Mahebourg and Blue Bay and 20 minutes from Curepipe.
The learning programs offered are the IEYC (International Early Years Curriculum) and the IPC (International Primary Curriculum). These curricula lay the foundation for developing the skills, knowledge, and understanding essential for students’ academic progress. Construction of the school began in August 2020 and the institution welcomed its first students in January 2022. The first phase, which covers 1,500 square meters, includes kindergarten classrooms and the first year of elementary school. Eventually, the institution will have quality facilities, including a gymnasium, a library, and a music room.
