Two artists, two worlds. One show. If you want to know what it’s like when Cédric Nayna meets Carole Lamport, then join us on April 13 at 7.30pm. The two will share the stage at the Caudan Arts Centre for the musical show ‘Show devant’.
Cédric and Carol’s show is a human encounter between two artists at two points in their careers, united for the same cause – to support the Vent d’un rêve association.
Lasting an hour and 45 minutes, the show will offer audiences a wide range of songs, from Broadway classics interpreted in an original way, to hits from Le Roi Lion and Starmania, among others. Other surprises are also in store to make sure you have a magical time.
Tickets are priced at Rs 900 (VIP), Rs 700 (première) and Rs 600 (seconde).
Cédric Nayna is a singer, dancer, actor, model, voice actor and artist. In 2018, he completed his studies in Performing Arts at the Hamburg Stage School with excellent results. He later joined the cast of the musical The Lion King, playing the lead character ‘Scar’, the first African to play the role, and also the youngest in the world.
For her part, Carol Lamport is a Mauritian singer with a particular affection for musicals. At the age of 22, she was thrust into the limelight as Marie Jeanne in the French musical Starmania. She also appeared in Les Misérables translated into Creole by Dev Virashawmy and in Zozef ek so palto larkensiel as the narrator in 2001. She took on the role of Mother Superior in Melodie du Bonheur and also in Sister Act in 2016. In 2022, she released an original Christmas song, “Nwel à l’île Moris”.
