Traditionally, for years now, Labour Day has been hijacked by politicians to organize large political rallies with the appearance of a mob fight. In 1982, the MMM rally in Rose Hill showed the way for political change to come when it was compared to the SSR Labor Party crowd. Yesterday, the MSM was the only political party to mobilize its supporters in Vacoas. Lacking the means to do so and afraid of not being able to galvanize its troops, the opposition, which still does not know whether the alliance between the Labour Party, the MMM and the PMSD will take place, preferred to take a back seat. However, the mass of May and the marches and trade union rallies are still present on Labor Day.
