JCI Curepipe held a closing ceremony for the JCI Mauritius Creative Young Entrepreneur Award program at Mont Choisy Le Golf Restaurant in the presence of the Vice President of Mauritius, His Excellency, Eddy Boissézon. Three female entrepreneurs were awarded. The winner is Lili Ip Kwok Sheung of Timimi Shop who won a check of Rs 30,000 and six months of mentoring offered by Strat’Conseil. Nivritee Lotun of Zen Bamboo Spa was the first runner-up who won a check of Rs 15,000 and the second runner-up, Presheena Armoogum of Doggitreats, won a check of Rs 10,000.
“JCI Mauritius has always been actively engaged in promoting entrepreneurship in Mauritius through the annual Creative Young Entrepreneur Award program. This program illustrates our commitment to providing a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses and creativities. We are very pleased with the participation rate and the quality of the applications that were submitted by the participants. The winners will be encouraged to participate in the JCI CYEA program at the regional level where they will compete for the title of JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur for the Africa and Middle East region,” said Yudhish Rohee, JCI Mauritius President.
Michel de Spéville, Senator and founder of JCI Mauritius was present as well as Ryad Subratty, President of JCI Africa and Middle East Senate Association among other dignitaries. The evening was a real opportunity to celebrate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs.
